People say you need to enter this area with caution but with all the friendly deer hopping around, makes it hard to feel you are actually inside a military base. The Knickeen Ogham Stone is located in the Glen of Imaal (sounds Arabian), which is an absolutely beautiful part of the country, with rolling hills, shallow streams and majestic forests.
The Ogham stone dates back to approx 400AD and looks like a love heart which stands over 2 meters tall. The writing on the stone reads “Maqi Nili” which means Son of Neill.
