We were positioned in the Crafts and Business pavilion in a lovely super long tent. We were so surprised at the number of other attendees as the tent was over 150 meters in length. Estimates state there were over 15,000 visitors at the show.
Our stand received over 200 visitors who were very intrigued by our Ogham and amazed by crafts – so we were more educating first and selling later. Many loved the idea of the Ogham gift as a present for people moving into new homes. So, we got one more purpose for our Ogham gifts!
For me personally the highlight of the show was an eight-year old boy who was able to read the Ogham inscription from our stones. What is even more impressive, he appeared to be self-taught and to have discovered Ogham alphabet for himself.
Overall the show was a great experience, heavy on the legs as it was my first time doing a show but a total eye opener as to the potential for Ogham gifts in the community.
